About Me

Hi, I'm Allysia!

I have been whipping up vegan food since 2009, after a decision to teach myself to cook by following five new recipes each week. I documented the journey in a food blog, which eventually allowed me the opportunity to be a recipe tester for a published cookbook and travel to Portland for an all-vegan convention.

To hone my skills further, I attended Living Light Culinary School in California, learning raw food basics with Cherie Soria, and went through the Natural Epicurean program in Texas. I worked for a vegan catering company in Toronto, chopping endless boxes of vegetables in order to deliver ready-made meals to customers on time.

Now with a toddler undertow, I focus on fast and easy meals that don’t require a lot of planning or fuss. I believes that anyone can learn to enjoy cooking, even if one doesn’t start out with a natural inclination or talent. It just starts with the first step.

Each video lasts about 20 to 30 minutes, and most days you’ll be making a meal along with Allysia, so there’s a good chance it’ll be less than your normal cooking time – and once you’ve had some practice, you’ll be whipping up fantastic meals super quick.
